Eagle Reproduction

Bald Eagles reach sexual maturity when are 4 or 5 years of age. Eagles build their nest in tall trees or on high cliffs. They build a large nest made of sticks and twigs. Eagles lay 2-3 eggs. The incubation period is 31 to 56 days, depending on the species. Only one chick survives. Both parents take care of the young. At 15 weeks of age, the young Bald Eagle will permanently leave the nest.
